Picture Book

Letter sent May 2, 2016:
Hello, Beautiful Jonkoping

Cuties
Weekly flower from Dudas, a little, old, less-active man who loves the Sisters
and says if he were younger, we would get married.

Gunvor (woman who lived in Barkaby apartment on her mission)

Wow oh wow. What a week. I'm feeling pretty lazy and don't want to write so I'm just going to send lots of pictures.
A short synopsis: We went to sisters conference on Wednesday so we stayed over in Jakobsberg on Tuesday night. Sister conference consisted of all the sisters from the mission, talking about staying steadfast in Christ, toe socks and dancing. It was super fun. But for real, we all got toe socks at the end and danced to Cotton-Eyed Joe for a solid 20 minutes. And by "danced" I mean alternating between the same two dance steps over and over again.
Also found out that the old house I was living in in Jakobsberg is even older than expected because there's a super old lady in the ward in Jönköping named Gunvor who lived in the same house when she was a short term missionary in Stockholm. We were laughing so hard together about how creepy and ghetto it is. Also we got to celebrate Valborg on Saturday night. They make giant bonfires so celebrate the ending of darkness and welcoming in all the light of the spring and burn out winter. It was cute. But turns out we saw a lame fire...they're normally gigantic but the one at Stadspark in Jönköping was pretty tiny. But a cute tradition! There was a childrens' choir that sung a bunch of Asterid Lingren songs so that was adorable. We were on the phone with the elders because we were going to go help someone move in before we went to the park and we had to clarify if we should wear "normal clothes" to help them move. Like normal normal clothes or normal missionary clothes. It really just presents problems when we don't have to be in skirts and ties.
At church yesterday the teacher in relief society likened something to, "our beloved Pippi" so that was just adorable. I remember reading Pippi Longstocking as a child so I totally knew what they were talking about when she talked about Tommy and Annika. Cute. Yup. I love you!
Last day with Tanui before he went back to Kenya

It's finally getting waaarm and we discovered this cute fountain
