MAJ

Letter sent May 9, 2016:

 Hello hello!

Alarming fact of the day: I tried to start singing some Les Mis song yesterday and I didn't know the words to it. Who even am I anymore? I'm turning into an uncultured mess. So that was just purely frightening.
Dudas

Good fact of the day: It is MAY. You know what that means? Yes, I'm celebrating everyday of this month. A constant party. Feel free to do the same. Dudas tells me everytime we see each other or call him that we have to celebrate together because..., "MAJ!!!" and just screams my last name.

Dora
On a walk with Dao, Earth, and Anjima (their neice)

On a happier note, we met with Dora and Dao and Earth this week. Dora is a dream. Seriously. We taught her the first part of the plan of salvation and she just loved it and said it made so much sense. We didn't have time to talk about what happens after we die so we said that we would talk about that next time and she was so excited about that. She literally clapped her hands for glee. We also taught her the Word of Wisdom. We were at the Schelin's (members) house for dinner and Dora came with us because she knows them. As soon as Dora got there she just started unloading all these gifts for Aurora and Robin and their children. Plus gifts for Aurora and Robin's mothers. It was adorable. When we taught her the Word of Wisdom she absolutely loved it. She has already figured out earlier in her life that we shouldn't drink tea and coffee and said that she knew God doesn't want us to. So we read the blessing straight out of the Doctrine and Covenants and she was seriously losing her mind that the destroying angel was going to pass over her and that she was going to have strength as she keep this commandment. I've never ever seem someone get so excited about a scripture. I wish I had recorded it. So yeah. She's doing well.

We also met with Dao and Earth almost every day this week. We taught them about the Law of tithing and fasting and more about God and how he is our Heavenly Father. They said that it's very easy for us to follow commandments because we have a relationship with God that we have been developing over time, but that it's harder for them because they don't have that relationship because they literally just found out that God exists like a month ago. It's crazy. So they said they need to build up their relationship with God so that obeying the commandments becomes easier. I thought that was just profound and brilliant. Obeying the commandments becomes something that we want to do, not just a list of rules, when we really get to know God; who He is, what his goals are, how he can help us, osv.

There was a wedding int he church this week. Well, the reception was in the church. We helped a little bit with that. Juan and Helen got married int he Stockholm temple at the beginning of the week. They are hilarious and darling together.

It is so light and the weather is getting so warm here!! We don't even have big coats on today and it's crazy. Official sunrise and sunset are at 4:50 and 9:10 respectively, but it's light much and earlier and later than that even though the sun isn't out. I always wake up at like 3:45 in the morning and it's light outside and when we go to bed at 10:30 it's still decently light out there too.

I'm just having a great old time here. We get to go to Göteborg this week for another zone conference. And I get to go on splitsies with Syster Bateman!!

HEJDÅ VÄNNER.

Syster May

Started the week off shaking out some rugs for Edith...reminds me of mom and not being able to vacuum the living room rug.  The biggest arm workout

Continued cleaning to the extremes by cleaning the stairs in Edith's apartment building.  With a  mouse-sized broom.  She doesn't even own the stairs.  They must be cleaned anyway.

Dao and Earth's dream fluff ball cat, Camilja

Dog stickers.  If I had to epitomize Syster Wilson with a physical thing it would be dog stickers.

Hopscotching in Ostra centrum.

SKYPE ft. Finley, the ashamed dog.

Post-skype walk home through the dreamiest neighborhood.
